BATON ROUGE – Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser is asking President Trump for more federal aid ahead of Hurricane Delta.
Nungesser sent a letter to the White House yesterday. He is asking for the state’s portion of storm relief money to be waived. States are supposed to match 25 percent of federal aid.
White House officials say they got the letter, and more discussions are pending.
