NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – He is nine in the program, but number one on the field last Friday night (12/5).
Jesuit running back Charles Jackson was stellar in a state championship game win over Curtis — in a 17-14 victory, Jackson rushed 16 times for 142 yards.
Those yards, said Jackson are a byproduct of the work done by teammates.
“I really couldn’t play that well without the help of my teammates. The defense played great. Line was making great holes. It basically fell in my lap,” Jackson said.
Jackson and his teammates took their state championship team photo. It will hang in the schools hall of champions.
Charles Jackson of Jesuit is this week’s New Orleans Voodoo Athlete of the Week.
