NOPD releases surveillance video of French Quarter Shooting

New Orleans, La. -(WGNO)- The New Orleans Police Department has released video of a wild shooting incident early Sunday Morning.


Investigators say the shooting  was caught on surveillance cameras near the corner of Decatur and Bienville Streets around 1 a.m. Sunday.

It shows a male in a black baseball cap, white shirt and dark pants get into a grey Dodge Dart and retrieve a weapon.

According to Detectives, the suspect then opens fire on another man, striking him once in the chest.

The victim was able to get away and call the police.

Investigators are now looking for the shooter who they say was last seen leaving the area in the same grey Dodge Dart.
