Family members of the Westbank woman killed in drive by shooting are sending an emotional plea to the gunman.

It happened Saturday night in the 5400 block of the Westbank Expressway in Marrero.

Investigators say 19-year old Miquisha Nash was riding in the passenger seat, when some rode up to the vehicle and opened fire.

The driver, 25, Ronnie Videau was not injured.

Nash suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

She was rushed to West Jefferson Medical Center where she later died.

Family members are urging the shooter to surrender to authorities.

“They wanted it with him, and I still got yet to find out what really happened,” the victim’s mother Anicia Nash said. “All I know is my baby is not here with me anymore.”

“I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it was my niece, it’s just hard to really accept her death because I was thinking she was going to get patched up and be out and when they came out with that news I still don’t believe it,” the victims aunt Yashica Turner said.

Police have not named a suspect in the case.

The shooter is said to have been traveling in a burgundy colored van.
