BELLE CHASSE, La. (WGNO) —   Neighbors who live near the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans will see an increased in F-15 flights during the week ahead.

According to base workers, the Louisiana National Guard is organizing more flights, some of them at night.  Those workers are concerned that the unusual increase in flights — especially at night — might cause concerns for people who can see and hear the planes.

The guard used the base to train its F-15 pilots.  The NAS JRB New Orleans is the nation’s first military air facility that was planned and built as a joint service training center.

Base workers say the flights will last all week, including the flights at night.
