NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – It took police 10 minutes to arrive at a fight involving more than a dozen patrons and bouncers early Sunday morning outside a Bourbon Street bar, New Orleans Police Superintendent Michael Harrison said.

The fight is gaining attention after a four-minute video went viral. In the video, you can see several men yelling at and physically fighting with bar staff. The video begins with the fight in progress and it’s hard to determine who started it.

When asked about the video Tuesday, Chief Michael Harrison said, “These things happen, we try to get there as fast as we can. Our officers are working on Bourbon Street, but they have other duties.”

Adding that, he hasn’t seen the entire video.

The viral video has been viewed more than 49-thousand times on Facebook.

The NOPD is investigating the fight.
