Vehicle of interest sought in case of body found in burning vehicle

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The NOPD is looking for a vehicle of interest in June 5 homicide in which a body was found inside of a burning vehicle.

According to NOPD, officers responded about 4:20 a.m. June 5 to a car fire in the 4400 block of Flite Court. Police found a body, later identified as 20-year-old Devin Diamond, in the burning vehicle. Diamond died of blunt force trauma.

The vehicle in the picture is believed to be involved. It’s an older model, red pickup truck, but the truck’s roof is a different color. The truck has chrome rims, chrome running boards, chrome rearview mirrors, a bed cover and tinted windows.
