NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A man responding to an online ad ended up the victim of an armed robbery over the weekend.

The victim was attempting to purchase a dirt bike he had seen advertised on an app called OfferUp, according to the NOPD.

The buyer agreed to meet with the dirt bike seller at a house on the 1600 block of North Dorgenois Street around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Instead of a dirt bike, the victim was met by three men, at least one of which was armed with a gun.

After demanding the money, the three men ran off toward Uptown, according to the NOPD.
