One dead, two others injured after shooting on Tulane Avenue


NEW ORLEANS– The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide at the intersection of Tulane Avenue and South Solomon Street.

According to investigators, a patrol officer heard gunshots in that area around 2:00 a.m. A short time later , the officer found a crashed vehicle that was on fire. The officer found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men were also shot in this incident and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the man who was killed upon completion of autopsy and notification of family. The investigation is ongoing.
