NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. (WGNO) – Sheriff’s deputies in Natchitoches Parish arrived at an interesting scene Tuesday morning after receiving a call requesting assistance with a stranded 18-wheeler.
When they arrived deputies discovered two elephants were holding a semi-truck from tipping over.
Three elephants on the truck were being transported from Florida to a circus in Frisco, Texas.
Natchitoches authorities say the truck became stuck after the driver pulled onto the shoulder on Interstate 49 near Powhatan, La.
No citations were issued.
