LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) – A couple has been arrested for sending their 5-year-old son to break in and steal from his grandparents home.

Anthony Wilson, 30, and Casey Ramsey, 27, reportedly sent their 5-year-old son to sneak into the home in the 500 block of Criswell Court in LaPlace on July 13, 2015. The Sheriff’s Office responded to the burglar alarm, and when they arrived they found all of the accessible windows and doors secured and locked.

Deputies noticed that one of the accordion spacers on the side of one of the air conditioning units was pushed in, but it was way too small for an adult to fit through. The homeowner said that she thought her son may have been the person who had his 5-year-old go through the opening and into the house.

Witnesses told the deputies information that was used to match the descriptions of the homeowner’s son. Anthony Wilson was arrested and booked with simple burglary, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Casey Ramsey was also booked and arrested. The grandmother has taken temporary custody of the 5-year-old boy.
