FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (WGNO) – Officials believe they have found the body of a Louisiana woman who went missing at the Grand Canyon earlier this year.
Family members reported Diana Zacarias of Natchitoches missing April 3.
Remains believed to be Zacarias have been transferred to Coconino County Medical Examiner for identification, reports WBRZ. The National Park Service and the medical examiner will conduct an official investigation.
The 22-year-old attended Northwestern State University and was studying industrial engineering technology.
She posted the below photo on her Facebook page, two days before she went missing.
