NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - There's an all-new, all-female Carnival Krewe!

News with a Twist's Kenny Lopez met the "Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale" as they were preparing for this Mardi Gras.

The founders of this Krewe are all African-American women, but it's open to women of all colors and creeds.

"I found for African-American women this was the missing piece.  We didn't have a community organization we could call our own,"  Gwendolyn Rainey, Founder and President, said.

Every good Krewe needs a signature throw and for the "Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale", they'll be throwing make-up compacts.

"They symbolize you looking at both your inner and outer beauty.  This will be a collector's item, and something you will want because it's our inaugural year,"  Rainey said.

If you want a compact, what do you suggest parade goers do?

"Smile at one of these women.  You can allure them with a smile to give you a throw, "  she said.

Their theme for this year will be Hollywood South Horror Classics.

"We are going to have a voodoo float, a headless horseman float, a werewolf float, a Dracula one, and much more.  Mardi Gras won't ever be the same,"  Rainey said.

Their parade rolls on Sunday, February 8th on the Uptown route, right after the Krewe of Alla.
