Former LSU pitcher’s fast track to the big leagues


BATON ROUGE, LA – Within a week, Zack Hess was called up to the Detroit Tigers 60-man player pool, quarantined for 48 hours in a hotel in Michigan after travelling from Virginia, and faced off against the Tigers starting lineup.

Today, Hess struck out Jake Rogers and Jorge Bonifacio in his one inning outing at Comerica Park.
