Friday, Jesuit High School students watched the aftermath of a head-on collision on the school’s campus. There were damaged cars, broken glass, and lots of blood.
But there were no injuries. The mock crash aimed to teach the kids about the dangers of drinking or texting while driving.
Participants said the message about driving sober was clear. “One phone call could have prevented all of this from happening,” Chris Dupre told WGNO News.
LSU Hospital, Louisiana State Police, New Orleans EMS, and the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office helped organize the mock crash.
