NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - In March, love for all things Irish is everywhere to be found. It’s especially obvious at Tracey’s Original Irish Channel Bar.

Twist reporter Stephanie Oswald stopped by Tracey's as they were preparing thousands of green gelatin shots. Owner Jeffrey Carreras was kind enough to show Stephanie the ropes.

In case you’re wondering, they mix the ingredients in huge plastic buckets: water, lime gelatin mix, Everclear alcohol and ice!

Hundreds of trays are filled with tiny paper cups—those cups are filled with the magic green potion, and then it’s all stored in a giant outdoor cooler to “firm up” overnight.

Twist anchors Susy Roesgen and Curt Sprang even tried some on the set!
