Did you know ‘The Hangover’ & ‘Dr. Ken’ star Ken Jeong is a real MD?

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- Ken Jeong is the star of the new ABC show, “Dr. Ken”, but did you know that the actor is actually a real doctor?

The new comedy is autobiographical about a smart doctor with a zany life.

Ken Jeong, MD completed his internal medical residency in New Orleans at Ochsner in 1998.   He also practiced as as a physician.

Earlier this year, Jeong visited his old stomping grounds, Ochsner for an alumni awards banquet, and he said in a release, “The academic foundation, integrity and support provided helped me so much in my life and as a person.”

Ken Jeong is best known for his roles in “Knocked Up”, “The Hangover”, “Entourage”, and “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.

“Dr. Ken” premieres Friday, Oct. 2nd on ABC at 7:30 p.m. (central time)
