NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – NOPD is looking for a man they say kidnapped and sexually assaulted a Tulane University student.

According to police, the female victim says that she was walking near the corner of Broadway and Freret streets around 4:15 a.m. Oct. 2, when she was forced into the back of a car by a man and driven to the 8200 block of Willow Street, where he demanded to have sex with her because he thought that she was a prostitute.

The victim says she explained to the man that she was not a prostitute and he let her out of the car, slapping her on the buttocks as she exited the vehicle.

The suspect is described as being in his mid to late 30s, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 250 lbs.

The NOPD has provided a composite sketch of the suspect.
