Deputies arrested 24-year-old Marcus Stewart after two people came forward to say that they had purchased some of the highly volatile fireworks shells from him.

Deputies also arrested 30-year-old Donald Armlin Jr. after detectives say he was implicated as being Stewart’s partner in the theft.

Investigators believe that the two men broke into a locked box truck inside a gated property on Browns Village Road sometime between December 23 – 29 and stole the 19 cases of high explosive shells and fuses.

The value of the fireworks is estimated at between $8,000 and $10,000.

The were intended to be used in a professional fireworks display in Bossier City.

Some of the fireworks have been recovered and returned the owner, but it is believed that some of the explosives may still be in the hands of individuals in the community.

If you have any of these explosives, please contact the Sheriff’s Department at 985-809-8207.
