New Orleans firefighters worked to contain a fire, a little after 12:00 noon on Monday, in the 3200 block of General Taylor.

They say the fire began in a vacant, shotgun double and spread to a similar building next door.

The NOFD says neither double had any utilities connected.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation on Monday.  There were no injuries reported.
