When you live in a city that has got so much delicious food to offer, it’s hard to brown bag your lunch every day, or even stay home in the evenings. You might change your mind when you realize exactly how much you’re spending when you go out.

A new survey from says that the average American roughly spends about $900 a year on take-out food! 57% of people surveyed say they preferred restaurant food to cooking at home and about a third of those folks admit that they just don’t have time to cook from scratch.
