Years ago, inside these walls, musician, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails recorded edgy rock music.  Now inside these walls, something completely opposite is going on.

Have you ever heard of PIYO?  What exactly is PIYO?

Meghan Hays is the owner of 504 Fit which is now an exercise studio and no longer a recording studio.  Meghan is marching to a different tune.   She teaches PIYO classes, which is a combination of Pilates and yoga.

“You’re getting the strength and flexibility of a yoga class with all the core and stability of a Pilates mat class,”  she said.

Hays said, Piyo is gaining in popularity because you get the core strength workout with Pilates and the flexibility with yoga, but you aren’t dealing with the meditation aspect of yoga.  When you combine Pilates and yoga, you have a dynamite workout known as PIYO.

“I think it’s great for New Orleanians to do because we all have very busy and active social lives.  We need to get in and get out with an effective workout,” Hays said.

So what do you think?  Would rocker Trent Reznor like PIYO?

“It gets your heart rate up and you break a sweat,”  she said.

PIYO sure sounds like a rockstar-like workout to me!

504 Fit is located at 4500 Magazine Street, Suite #4.
