The country has spoken, and it's all about change. Republicans have gained control of the senate and strengthened their hold on the house. That means the final two years of Barack Obama are going to be tough for the President.
If you are a republican or support those ideals, you are one happy camper today. If you are Mary Landrieu, you aren't so happy today.
Landrieu was trying to win this thing in the primary and avoid the runoff, where she is expected to lose. Landrieu only received 42% of the vote yesterday which probably isn't enough to hold off Bill Cassidy next month. It looks as if Landrieu's 18-year run is all but done.
Anything can happen in an election, especially here in Louisiana, but Cassidy and the republicans must be feeling pretty good right now. They control the House and now they control the Senate. And in about a month, they'll have more control of Louisiana.
