BATON ROUGE, La (WGNO) – On a football field of dreams, practice makes for a perfect season.

That’s the case for the football team from the Louisiana School for the Deaf.

WGNO News with a Twist features guy and football lover Wild Bill Wood  who says the team won every game this season.

They played deaf teams from across the country lead by their coach, Susan Gremillion.  They call her Coach G.

She is Louisiana’s lone female head high school football coach.  She had to learn to speak their language.

That’s sign language.

When Coach G started, she could barely sign her numbers and colors.

Now, Coach G signs fluently.

So good is her sign language and her football coaching, the Louisiana School for the Deaf football team is the National Champion.

The War Eagles are members of Wild Bill’s new TV club.  It’s called Wild Bill’s Amazing Kids.

Another one is a six-year-old golfer.

And a couple of teens who invented an app that helps singers warm up.
