NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)-  From The Big Easy…to The Big Apple…

The New Orleans Society of Dance, Millisia White’s Baby Doll Ladies along with DJ Hektik will be performing in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 27th.

They applied and auditioned to be in the parade and made it!  This is the first time they will dance in the popular parade which has been going on for 88 years.

The ladies say they can’t wait to bring a bit of Mardi Gras and New Orleans to New York.

Historically,  the “Baby Dolls” were the first women to march wearing street masks in the United States, beginning in 1912.
