Solid showing for NOLA among 2015 James Beard Award semifinalists

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The James Beard Foundation has released its list of semifinalists for the 2015 Restaurant and Chef Awards. New Orleans was well-represented with 12 nominations in all.

Donald Link earned a nod for Outstanding Chef while a whopping five locals were nominated for Best Chef in the South! However, New Orleans was shutout of Outstanding Restaurant, Best New Restaurant, and Rising Star of the Year.

Best New Restaurant is notable because Pêche Seafood Grill won the category last year.

The final Restaurant and Chef Award nominees will be announced in New York City on March 24, 2015.

The 2015 James Beard Awards gala will be held in Chicago on May 4, 2015.

Outstanding Service:

Outstanding Bar Program:
