Claudette is a 12-year-old chow mix surrendered to the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter in early September due to her owners divorcing.  She trembled the first few days, broke their hearts, then revealed a courageous and fierce spirit determined to find love again in a new home.  She is a wonderful companion dog and in great health for a 12 year old.  She gets along nicely with other dogs, but prefers a home with low key animals as she ages.  Claudette is housebroken, good with children, and has been an absolute delight to have at the shelter.

She has been one of their dearest charges for over 2 months and we would love to see her cherished in a home for the holidays as she so deserves.

Claudette is spayed, vetted, and heartworm negative.

Claudette's adoption fee will be waived as she is a senior and qualifies for JPAS' senior program.  This Program also provides three months of heartworm and flea prevention.
