NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The New Orleans Book Festival is back!

They’re starting off the fest with a little night music, played by the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra. They’ll be playing songs inspired by literature.

It starts Friday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m. outside the Latter Branch Library at 5120 St. Charles Ave.

The organizers suggest you bring a picnic blanket to enjoy the music under the stars.

The fest continues Saturday, November 15 at Big Lake at City Park at 10:00 a.m. There will be free books, live music, pony rides, free food, face painting, readings by authors and much more!

Both parts of the festival are free and open to the public.
