NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)–There’s no question that juicing has a multitude of health benefits, and more and more options are showing up on store shelves, making it even easier to incorporate vegetables juices into our everyday routines.  But not all options are as nutrient-packed as they may seem, and some can easily pack in a day’s worth of sugar, with more calories than a McDonald’s hamburger!

In today’s Love it, Like it, Hate it, we’re getting the Skinny with Molly on the best and worst bets when it comes to store-bought green drinks!

  • Juicing is a great way to incorporate more vitamins, minerals, & antioxidants
  • Juicing can be a way to incorporate produce that we normally might not like. Beets and kale, for example, taste different with the flavors of lemon and ginger.
  • To limit sugary calories, stick with mostly vegetables, little or no fruit.
