    New Orleans – Police are investigating a fatal shooting in the Pines Village neighborhood of New Orleans East. Investigators say a man was killed near the intersection of Piper Lane and East Filmore Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. No other information has been released.     New Orleans – Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured in New Orleans East. It happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 7300 block of W. Renaissance Street. Police say a man was shot in the stomach. No further details have been released on the victim’s condition or the search for the shooter.

  • State police investigate fatal I-10 crash

    METAIRIE – State police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that claimed the life of one man. Investigators say the crash happened shortly before 3 A.M. on I-10 West at Causeway Boulevard. The victim, 37-year-old Noel Reese, of Laplace,  was driving a Dodge Challenger, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle struck a concrete barrier.   • Man killed on porch in Lower 9th Ward

    New Orleans – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on a porch in the Lower 9th Ward. Officers were called to the 900 block of Alabo Street in the Holy Cross neighborhood just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday. They found a 27-year-old man lying on a porch. He had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.

    New Orleans – Police are looking to obtain a DNA sample from a person of interest in a 2017 shooting that left one person dead and three others wounded in the 7th Ward.     LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. – The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a Galliano man’s body was found in Bayou Lafourche with the arms and legs bound by rope. Detectives have identified the victim as 69-year-old Terry Angelle.
