    Metairie – A man is dead after a shooting early Tuesday morning in Metairie. According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s office, the victim was shot around 1:30 a.m. on West Metairie and Henry Landry Avenues. He later died at the hospital. No further information is available at this time.

    New Orleans – A man is dead following a Sunday night shooting in New Orleans East. Police say the victim was shot around 10 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Yorktown Drive and Bunker Hill Road. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.   • Air Transat to launch non-stop flights between New Orleans and Montréal

    New Orleans – Canadian airline Air Transat is adding non-stop flights between New Orleans and Montréal. The seasonal flights between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) begin November 3, 2019. The flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. Air Transat flies to about 60 destinations in more than 25 countries. It was named World’s Best Leisure Airline in 2018.

    METAIRIE – State police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that claimed the life of one man. Investigators say the crash happened shortly before 3 A.M. on I-10 West at Causeway Boulevard. The victim, 37-year-old Noel Reese, of Laplace,  was driving a Dodge Challenger, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle struck a concrete barrier.
