Mississippi Police capture man after interstate standoff

JACKSON COUNTY, MS – *Update* All interstate lanes are now open.

Troopers have safely captured the driver of the 18-wheeler, who started a police chase and ended with in interstate standoff.

Happening now, a section of interstate in Mississippi is close due to a standoff between police and an 18-wheeler.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department advises that all westbound lanes of I-10 from exits 57 to 61 are closed.

State troopers are on the scene, and have an 18-wheeler pulled over.

The driver of the semi-truck is allegedly armed with a machete and disobeying the troopers orders to exit the vehicle.

A police chase started in Alabama, and crossed the state line into Mississippi around 9 A.M.
