Candlelight vigil held for teen struck, killed by train in LaPlace

LAPLACE, La. — There were heavy hearts tonight in LaPlace, as the community gathered to light candles in honor of the 18-year-old boy who was struck and killed by a train Monday night.

The vigil was held at the corner of Cardinal and Milton streets, the spot were De’vante Moore was killed.

Moore was trying to cross the tracks ahead of the train when he was hit.
