St. Tammany firefighters extinguish car fire on I-59

PEARL RIVER, La. – A car burst into flames on Interstate 59 in Pearl River this morning.

St. Tammany Fire Protection Districts No. 11 and No. 7 responded to the fire, which erupted near mile marker 8 around 11 a.m. on October 23.

The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
