NEW ORLEANS -- Local businessman Ronnie Lamarque is known for his colorful television ad campaigns that have landed the car dealership owner two Telly awards.

Now, he's got another message for New Orleans, one of hope and values.

Lamarque teamed up with WGNO-News with a Twist to broadcast a special rendition of "If I Can Dream."

He said he got the idea after watching a string of bad news on television.

"I was watching police get shot, I was watching police shoot people, and I'm saying, 'This is America. It's not a Third World country. What is going on?' Everyone had ideas, programs. I sat back and said, 'Lord, we've got to do something about this.' There must be lights burning brighter," he said.
