Body pulled from Mississippi River Tuesday

DIAMOND, La. — A male body was found in the Mississippi River Tuesday morning in the Diamond area on the West Bank of Plaquemines Parish.

The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the body Tuesday afternoon, but said officials cannot release any additional information at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Plaquemines Parish Coroner’s Office are on scene.
