NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The Salvation Army is gearing up to help victims of today’s severe weather in New Orleans East.

A Disaster Response Team and canteen will soon be deployed in an effort to help feed those impacted by today’s tornado outbreak, according to a press release by the Salvation Army.

The team will serve hot meals and drinks to rescue workers assisting and residents.
