John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats have had good fortune in New Orleans, one they hope continues on December 23rd, 2017.

Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, and UCLA will play in The Classic, a four team neutral site basketball tournament at the Smoothie King Center.

In 2012, the Wildcats won the SEC tournament championship at the Smoothie King Center, and weeks later won the National Championship at the Superdome.

Jay Cicero, president and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation said New Orleans is always a big draw for rabid Kentucky basketball fans.

The event is presented by CBS Sports.
