BATON ROUGE (WGNO) – President-elect Donald Trump is planning a visit to Baton Rouge Friday afternoon, according to WBRZ and The Advocate.

Trump will visit the capital city to support state Treasurer John Kennedy’s bid for U.S. Senate. Kennedy is in a runoff with Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell, a Democrat. The election is Saturday.

Both Baton Rouge news outlets are citing anonymous sources, and The Advocate quoted State Police Superintendent Col. Michael Edmonson.

Edmonson said the Secret Service has notified him of the trip, but “we have not yet received any specific details of his agenda.”

According to The Advocate, Donald Trump received more votes in Louisiana than any other candidate in state history.

Trump last visited Baton Rouge in August following historic floods that devastated the region.
