Freeze Warning tonight for Northshore and Mississippi

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning tonight for all of the Northshore and Coastal Mississippi. Clear and dry skies will allow temperatures once again to dip into the upper 20s to lower 30s across the affected for a prolonged period of time tonight.

Take extra precautions with sensitive outdoor plants and animals during the overnight hours. The freeze warning lasts until 8 a.m. at which point temperatures will rise above freezing and will continue to warm into the upper 60s. Some areas of the Northshore will see a temperature swing of 40 degrees from the morning until the afternoon. By Monday night, slightly warmer air will arrive and temperatures will remain above freezing for the remainder of the forecast period.
