UPDATE: Power has been restored.

HOUMA, La. (WGNO) – A “marine vessel” has pulled down the main electrical line from Entergy to the City of Houma’s power plant, according to the Terrebonne Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Facebook page.

The agency said on its Facebook page that Entergy and Terrebonne parish officials are trying to divert power from the Coteau sub-station to the power plant in Houma.

“We are currently trying to determine a time frame on getting power back to the city power plant at this time and will provide updates and information via Facebook as we get further information,” officials said.
