NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Anne Cutler is giving us the low-down on fairs, festivals, and events happening this weekend.

For over 30 years, Halloween in New Orleans has been huge in theLGBT community and this year is no different. This year`s theme is 'Pirates Revenge: The Curse of Jean Lafitte.' Events include a glow neon party at the Civic Theater, DJ Grind at the Contemporary Arts Center and the Queen's Tea on the Creole Queen... followed by a second line. All proceeds will benefit Project Lazarus.

Halloween weekend means that it`s also time for Voodoo Fest! All weekend long, see the hottest artists at City Park. Artists include the Weeknd, G-Easy and the Chainsmokers, so you`re bound to have an amazing time. Visit their website to buy tickets.

On Saturday, head to Zephyr Field for the eighth annual Howl-O-Weenie Pet Fest, put on by Metairie Humane, an animal welfare group. There will be trick or treating, raffles and door prizes! Admission is free.

Also on Saturday, the Girl Scouts are hosting their annual J-Low`s Fall Festival and Duck Derby, but they're not celebrating celebrity Jennifer Lopez. Rather, Girl Scout founder, Juliette Gordon Low. This fundraiser benefits Camp Whispering Pines, Camp Covington, and Camp Maryvale.
