(WGNO) – The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control has dozens of permits pending for Dollar General stores across the state looking to add alcohol to their inventory, KATC reports.

Pending permits include Acadia, Crowley, Estherwood and Mermentau among others. If approved, the Class B alcohol permits would allow the stores to sell beer and liquor.

Jefferson Parish council recently denied 13 Dollar General stores the option.
