WGNO nominated for nine Emmy awards

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – WGNO has been nominated for nine Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter.

The Tribune Broadcasting station’s news department was nominated for seven awards, including Best Arts/Entertainment, Best Historical/Cultural, Best Talent, Best Writer and Best Human Interest.

WGNO’s Creative Services team was nominated for two awards including Best Writer for WGNO’s “God Bless Louisiana,” for which the station’s ongoing campaign has won Emmy Awards for the last two consecutive years.
