A violent weekend across the city of New Orleans

New Orleans, La.- (WGNO)- It was a violent weekend in New Orleans, as NOPD officers responded to 3 shootings, 2 of them deadly and a body found inside a burning car.

Police were called to the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Clara Street around 10:30 Saturday morning.

That’s where they found an unidentified woman lying on the sidewalk.

She had been shot in the head.

At almost the same time, New Orleans Firefighters were putting out a vehicle fire on Lake Forest Boulevard, near Michoud Boulevard, when they discovered the burned body of a man in the passenger seat.

This case has been turned over to the NOPD and is being treated as a homicide.

Sunday evening, Officers were called to the corner of Hudson Place near Anson Street around 5:30…

There they found an unidentified 21-year-old man, sitting inside a parked car.

He had been shot multiple times.

He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Finally, at around 9:00 Sunday night, officers responded to a shooting call near the corner of Pauger and ┬áNorth Villere Streets…

That’s where they found the body of a male in his late teens…

He had been shot dead.

Police are asking for information on any of these incidents.
