2-year-old Arabi boy found safe, step-grandfather wanted for kidnapping

ARABI, La. (WGNO) – A 2-year-old boy abducted by his step-grandfather in Arabi, was found in New Orleans in good health on Thursday night.

The child’s step-grandfather, 36-year-old Gary Wilson, remains at large and is currently wanted on on kidnapping charges.

The child was found when a New Orleans woman called police to report that Wilson had dropped the child off at her house on Thursday afternoon.

Detectives say that the child was in good health and was returned to family members.

Wilson, who police say has a lengthy criminal record, could be driving a red Chevrolet Cavalier with an unknown license plate.
