2006 game at Hoover, Alabama led John Curtis to seek chance to play at Zephyr Field

In 2006, Joe McKnight led John Curtis to win a over top ranked Hoover, Alabama, on a baseball field.

The game was played at the Hoover Met Stadium, a facility that also hosts the Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament.

JT Curtis said he wanted to replicate that atmosphere. Friday night at Zephyr Field, John Curtis plays Brother Martin in the first football game in the 19 years of the facility.
