Time Out! At least we still have Drew Brees.

NEW ORLEANS(WGNO)-- Another tough loss for the Saints, and the Tigers squeezed by.

Leonard Fournette's stiff arm was trending Saturday as he showed his strength, slamming a Mississippi State defender to the ground in the first quarter. He rushed for 147 yards on 28 carries, and helped the Tigers move up two spots in the AP's poll to number 18.

Danny Etling completed 19 of 30 passes for 215 yards in his first start for LSU. LSU hasn't scored in the 4th quarter yet this season.

Saints defense played lights out in the 13-16 loss to the New York Giants, but our young corners weren't enough to stop Victor Cruz from salsa dancing his way to through the end-zone.

A blocked field goal attempt in the second quarter led to Janoris Jenkins returning the ball 65 yards for the only touchdown all day for his team.

And Drew Brees moved ahead of Hall of Famer, Dan Marino's 61,361 career passing yards, into third place all-time. Thank the lord the Saints extended his contract for 5 more years, so we can see him pass Peyton Manning and reach first place before he retires.

Then there was Cam Newton's hat, which has nothing to do with Louisiana football other than the fact that LSU plays his Alma mater, Auburn in this Saturday's match-up. Apparently he's taking fashion advice from Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins now.
