(WGNO) — Who needs bouquets when you have puppies?

When Sarah Mallouk Crain was deciding how to do her wedding photos, she decided dogs needed to play a part.

Sarah and her new husband, Matt (Crain), have a huge passion for rescue dogs. They currently have three dogs of their own, but also foster dogs until they find their “forever home.”

Sarah also works at Pitties Love Peace, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in Central Pennsylvania. She’s worked there as primary dog trainer since they opened in 2011 and has served the Board of Directors as secretary.

The litter of Boxer-Coonhound puppies are sisters, all named after the original five First Ladies: Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth, and Louisa. The Pitbull the bride is holding is a nine week old rescue pup from the streets of Brooklyn, lovingly referred to as “Biggie Smalls.” The puppies were first brought to the shelter in July, when they were just under a week old.

Pitties Love Peace currently has between 40 and 50 dogs in their care. More photos of the dogs are on the Pitties Love Peace Facebook page.
