NOPD: Wheelchair-bound man robbed at gunpoint on Magazine Street

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The New Orleans Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of a wheelchair-bound man.

According to NOPD’s daily major offense log, the robbery happened at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday in the 4800 block of Magazine Street, where the victim was approached by two men, one black and one white.

NOPD says the black man pointed a gun to the back of the victim’s head and demanded his property.

The white man searched the victim’s pockets, then took his cell phone, wallet and cash.
