Monday, LSU head coach Les Miles wouldn’t name his starting quarterback for the Mississippi State game. Miles said he has a good reason why.

Back up quarterback Danny Etling replaced Brandon Harris and led the Tigers on three touchdown drives in the second quarter of Saturday night's 34-13 win over FCS power Jacksonville State.

Etling completed 6 of 14 passes for 100 yards, with one touchdown, and one interception.

Heisman trophy candidate Leonard Fournette sat out the Jacksonville State game with an ankle injury. Miles has lauded his stable of running backs. Derrius Guice ran for 155 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville State.

But, Miles said it will be good to have Fournette back.

LSU has won 15 of the last 16 meetings against Mississippi State.
